Vol. 88 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Export of Butter and Potatoes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the reason for the export of butter and potatoes during the nine months ended 30th September from the Port of Cork.

Butter exports from Cork during the nine months ended 30th September, 1942, consisted of non-creamery butter unsuitable for consumption in this country, which was exported in tins to tropical countries and for use as ships' stores. The potato exports comprised early potatoes which were surplus to home requirements.
