Vol. 88 No. 14

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding of River Nanny.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether he has received reports from his engineers concerning the flooding of the river Nanny, at Kilsharvin, between Duleek and Julianstown, County Meath, where a local industry's progress is being impeded; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take to remedy the position.

The Nanny River was recently inspected with a view to ascertaining whether the drainage of the river would form a suitable minor employment scheme. The estimated cost of the work, however, places it outside the scope of such schemes.
