Vol. 99 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rineanna-Dublin Transport Facilities.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether it is proposed to provide railway or bus connections between Rineanna and Dublin on Sundays; further, if he is aware that passengers arriving from America on Sundays are faced with the expense of either hiring a taxi or remaining overnight in Limerick.

It is not proposed, at present, to provide rail or bus connections on Sundays between Rineanna and Dublin. The provision of such facility will be considered further when circumstances permit of improved public transport services.

Is the Minister aware that if a person arriving on a Sunday wants to get up to town, he has to hire a taxi? Is he also aware that no letters are delivered to passengers?
