Vol. 101 No. 16

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: No. 1 and No. 3—Votes 72 and 65 and then the Finance Votes, 5, 6, 7 and 18; and then Vote 3.

What about Vote 66?

That will be taken later. It is not being ordered.

Will that be taken with the Taoiseach's Estimate?

It will be taken next week.

I would prefer not to take it to-day. I do not think we will reach it.

I thought the League of Nations was dead.

The order of business is No. 1 and then the Votes as set out, No. 3 being last.

Is the Tánaiste yet in a position to inform the House, inasmuch as we are about to adjourn this evening for the week-end, as to what programme of business it is intended to dispose of before the Summer adjournment?

I am not in a position to say that now. I possibly will be able to give some indication of it next week.

Are there any new Bills contemplated?

A few. Perhaps the Deputy will raise the question next week. That is a matter on which I could not give definite information.

What day is it proposed to meet next week?

Tuesday next.

I do not know whether the Vote for the Department of the Taoiseach will be reached to-day; it is a possibility; but, in any case, in accordance with the usual practice, I wish to remind Deputies that it is necessary and usual to give advance notice in writing to the Ceann Comhairle of the topics to be discussed on that Vote.

When, Sir?

As soon as possible.
