Vol. 118 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bacon for American Market.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether any information has been conveyed to him as to the existence of a limited market for Irish bacon in the United States of America; and if he will examine the possibility of adding to our dollar earnings from this source.

I am aware that a limited market for Irish bacon exists in the United States of America and, in fact, licences have already been granted to curers to export trial consignments of bacon and ham to that country.
