Vol. 118 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that a large farm, the property of the late Mrs. Ellen O'Malley, Carrowkeel, Ballinrobe, is at present derelict and unoccupied, and, if so, whether he will take steps to have this land acquired for the relief of local small farmers.

This case is under consideration at present.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission in acquiring the lands of the Crofts' estate, Velvetstown, Buttevant, County Cork, and when a division of the estate amongst the selected allottees may be expected.

An Order has been obtained for the resumption of 225 acres of the lands in question, but I cannot forecast when that area will become available for allotment.
