Vol. 119 No. 1

Supplementary Estimates—Leave to Introduce.

I move:—

That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary Estimates for the service of the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1950, namely:—

Votes Nos.—

17 (Rates on Government Property),

22 (Valuation and Boundary Survey),

24 (Supplementary Agricultural Grants),

30 (Agricultural Produce Subsidies),

42 (General Register Office),

46 (Primary Education),

61 (Posts and Telegraphs).

Leave granted.

When will the Estimates be taken?

If the House would allow the Minister for Agriculture to get No. 30 (Agricultural Produce Subsidies) to-morrow, the remainder could be taken this day week. No. 30 is a Supplementary Estimate for the payment on subsidised butter.

Would the Minister state what amount is involved? That would influence the matter.

I could not state at the moment.

We will agree to it provisionally for to-morrow. We would like to see the Estimate.

It is ready.

Ordered accordingly.

Deputy McQuillan's question will be taken on the Adjournment at 10.30 to-night.
