Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition and Division of Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state at what stage proceedings are for the acquisition of the Cowan estate, Ballinagh, County Cavan, and whether a scheme for subdivision has been or is being prepared.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire part of the holding known as the Cowan estate, Coolnacarrick, County Cavan, Rec. No. S.8306, for division amongst uneconomic holders in the area; and , if so, if he will state the present position with regard to it and when it is expected division will take place.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I will take together Questions Nos. 6 and 7.

Proceedings for the acquisition of this estate are in the initial stage. It is not possible to state whether or when the lands will become available for allotment.
