Written Answers. - Acquisition of Offaly Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands (1) if he will state what progress is being made in regard to the acquisition of the Fawcett estate, lands of Kilbeg, etc., Walsh Island, Offaly, for the relief of the congestion which exists in that district, and if he will request the Land Commission to expedite the matter during the current year; and (2) if he will state the acreage of the estate referred to.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of the lands of Kilbeg containing 148 acres on the estate of Reps. Mrs. Marianne Fawcett. The matter is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
