Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 30 Nov 1950

Vol. 123 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cheaper Electricity for Congested Areas.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is prepared to reconsider the desirability of providing cheaper electricity in congested areas and in under-developed areas such as South Connemara.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given in Dáil Eireann on the 6th July, 1950, to a question on this subject, to which I have nothing to add.

In other words, a lot of this stuff we see in the Sunday Independent about the development of Connemara is a fairy tale?

Hear, hear!

Remove the glacial rock.
