Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transport Expenditure.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will give particulars of the expenditure of the sum of £350,000 in the first six months of the current financial year in transport.

I assume that the Deputy is referring to State expenditure on capital development schemes of a transport nature, which amounted to £350,000 in the first six months of the current financial year. The total is made up as follows:—

(i) Grants for harbour works

(ii) Aviation and Meteorological Services

(iii) Advances to meet interest on guaranteed stock of Córas Iompair Éireann

194,500

(iv) Advances to local authorities from the Local Loans Fund for roads, bridges, roadmaking material, etc.
