Vol. 125 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mountbellew Drainage District.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the name of the person who succeeded Mr. M. Killilea as paymaster on the Mountbellew drainage district, County Galway, and the date upon which the appointment was made.

Mr. Mark Killilea, of Ballinamore Bridge, Ballinasloe, was succeeded as pay clerk for the Mountbellew drainage district by Mr. Martin Kelly, of Ballygar, County Galway, who was appointed to the position on the 23rd March, 1933. Mr. Kelly resigned and was succeeded by Mr. John Nason, of Mountbellew, County Galway, who was appointed on the 15th January, 1934.

Therefore, the statement you made on the 15th March was untrue?

What is the untruth? What is it?

Read up the records. You read a recommendation made for my successor, who was Mr. Kelly.

I said Mr. Nason was a successor of yours and he was. Do not be hair-splitting.

So was Mr. Flannery a successor of mine.
