Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Distribution.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring for distribution amongst the local small land holders and other deserving applicants the farm of Dr. Bradley, Drakerath, Carlanstown, County Meath, which was recently sold and for the division of which application was made on several occasions; and, if so, with what result.

This estate has been inspected and a decision as to acquisition will be taken in due course.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position respecting the proposed acquisition and distribution by the Land Commission of the Henderson estate at Castlecrine, Sixmilebridge, County Clare.

As the inquiries in this case have not been completed no decision has been taken regarding acquisition.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of taking over for division the Clements estate of 360 acres in the townland of Branstown and Colvinstown, parish of Skryne, County Meath; and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission decided not to acquire this estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the lands known as Drissogue, Ledwitch estate, near Athboy; and, if so, with what result.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of portion of these lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will say what is the present position concerning the Gilsenan estate, near Trim, County Meath.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of the lands of Laracor, Manorland, Dogstown and Stonehall, owned by Mrs. Mary J. Farrell, formerly Mrs. Gilsenan, and for the resumption of the lands of Commons held by Mr. James Gilsenan. An objection to acquisition and a petition against resumption have been lodged and will be heard in due course.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will say if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring for division the lands beside the town of Trim, known as the Crowley estate; and, if so, with what result.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of these lands. An objection to acquisition has been lodged and has yet to be heard.
