Vol. 127 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Employers' Mutual Assurance Association.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (1) the present position in regard to the Irish Employers' Mutual Assurance Association now in liquidation, (2) the name and address of the liquidator, and (3) if there is now any prospect of the claims of the ordinary unsecured creditors being met; and, if so, to what extent.

The Irish Employers' Mutual Insurance Association, Limited, is being wound up in pursuance of an order made by the High Court. Mr. E. J. Shott, 39 Dame Street, Dublin, was appointed official liquidator. The liquidator is responsible to the court for the performance of his duties. I have no function or responsibility in the matter and I am not in a position to furnish the information requested in the first and third parts of the Deputy's question.
