Vol. 129 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will now state when a telephone will be installed at Gortroe sub-post office, Youghal, County Cork, in view of the fact that the people of Gortroe, Youghal, are suffering grave inconvenience in being approximately five miles from the nearest public telephone and that they have no means of making urgent calls even to a priest or a doctor, and in the circumstances if he will have the provision of the promised telephone facilities expedited.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will install a public telephone in the Carrowmeena Post Office, Moville, County Donegal, which is six miles from the nearest post office having a public telephone.

With your permission, a Chinn Chomhairle, I propose to take Question Nos. 56 and 57 together. I would refer the Deputies to my reply of the 14th February to a similar question by Deputy Sweetman.
