Vol. 129 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letting of Land in County Meath.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will give the name of the former owner, the location and the area of land set or let by the Land Commission for the season in County Meath, as well as the proportion of grass lettings to tillage in each case.

I stated as recently as last Wednesday, in reply to a question, that lettings of lands on the hands of the Land Commission are still in course of being made and that, consequently, it is not possible to state the number of acres which will be let this year. In any event there are objections and difficulties in the way of supplying the detailed information sought by the Deputy. Perhaps I might repeat once again that I have arranged with the Land Commission that they will let in conacre tillage for the present season as much as possible of the lands in their possession which cannot be allotted this spring.
