Vol. 134 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exports of Butter.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (a) how much farmers' butter has been exported under the agreement with British purchasers referred to by him on 16th July, 1952 (column 1087, Volume 133, No. 8, Official Reports), and (b) the details of the agreement.

Mr. Walsh

(a) 40 tons; (b) the butter was sold to the Ministry of Food by the Irish Dairy Butter Trade, Limited, Cork, at a price of 295/- per cwt. c.i.f. Liverpool.

Not a very exciting transaction.

Mr. Walsh

I think it was very good.
