Vol. 134 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Greyhound Industry Commission.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what is the cause of the delay in publishing the report of the commission appointed to inquire into the greyhound industry.

Mr. Walsh

There has been no avoidable delay but, as a consequence of the dispute in the printing industry, the printing of the report took longer than was originally expected. The proof of the report has now been sent for final printing.

Can the Minister at this stage say whether it is the intention of the Government to legislate on the lines recommended in that report or whether it has been considered by the Government?

Mr. Walsh

That question does not arise at the moment.

Has it been considered, or, perhaps, it has not been considered?

Mr. Walsh

When it has been considered I will give the Deputy all the information.

So that it has not been considered?
