Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Foreign Exchange Account.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the present position in relation to the Foreign Exchange Account set up under Section 49 of the Finance Act, 1941.

The Foreign Exchange Account is audited annually by the Comptroller and Auditor-General, who reports thereon to Dáil Éireann in connection with the Appropriation Accounts. The repayable advances made to the account from the Central Fund, pursuant to Section 49 of the Finance Act, 1941, are shown under the "Assets" heading in Account No. XXV of the annual Finance Accounts.
