Vol. 143 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Quality of Tea.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that complaints about the quality of tea which is being offered for sale continue to persist; and, if so, if he will state what steps he proposes to adopt in relief of the position.

I have received no complaints regarding the quality of tea on sale.

The wholesale and retail tea trade is now highly competitive and offers the public the choice of a wide range of packet and loose tea at various prices. Any member of the public who is dissatisfied with the quality of tea available from his present supplier has ordinarily the simple remedy of transferring his trade elsewhere.
