Vol. 147 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rural Telephone Circuits.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state (a) what trunk circuit schemes for rural areas are due for completion in the current financial year, (b) the number of post offices to be linked to the network, and (c) the number of persons outside the Dublin area, who applied for telephones in 1953 or in earlier years, still awaiting attention.

As the reply to the first part of the question is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Replies to the other parts of the question are:—(b) 25, (c) 477.
