The contract documents were approved on the 16th June, 1952. It is understood that the invitation of tenders has been delayed by difficulties arising in the acquisition of land and water rights which must first be secured for the purposes of the scheme. These are matters for the local authority but it is understood that their negotiations are now nearly completed.
