Vol. 147 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy Water Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether he has received proposals in connection with the provision of a water supply for the Coole, Bawnard and Francistown districts, Fermoy, County Cork, and, if so, when work on the project is likely to commence.

Outline proposals for the provision of a water supply to serve the townlands of Coole, Grange and Ballyhamsherry were submitted by the sanitary authority in 1950 but the scheme has not been included in the programmes of sanitation works to which priority is given on the recommendation of the county medical officer. Further consideration has accordingly been deferred until the works certified to be more urgent have been carried out.
