Vol. 147 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Postal Deliveries.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state when it is proposed to start a twice daily postal delivery service in the Garryduff, Blackfert, Newport Road and St. Patrick's Avenue areas of Castlebar, County Mayo; further, whether he proposes to have pillar boxes erected in these areas.

I am having the matters raised in the question examined and I shall write to the Deputy as soon as the examination is completed.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange for the daily delivery of letters and parcels in the Boughadoon area, Ballina, County Mayo.

The provision of a daily delivery in the Boughadoon area will be considered when a reorganisation of the postal services in the Ballina Head Office district, which includes Boughadoon, is undertaken. I regret it is not possible at this stage to say when this will be done.
