Vol. 148 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of Telephone Exchange.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs what is the present position in regard to the proposal to erect a new telephone exchange in Roches Street, Limerick.

Work on the new telephone exchange building is in progress and it is expected that it will be completed by the end of the year. The installation of equipment and fitting out of the exchange will then take a further 12 months approximately. Provided no unforeseen difficulties are encountered the new exchange should therefore be ready for service in about two years' time.
