Vol. 150 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Appointment of Airport Personnel.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in the selection of personnel for Shannon and Dublin Airports, special consideration is given to persons who served in the British Forces in Ireland from 1916 to 1921, and, if so, to what exent.

The answer is in the negative so far as staff employed by the State are concerned, and I am informed by Aer Rianta, who manage Dublin Airport, that the answer, so far as their staff are concerned, is also in the negative.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I will also raise this matter on the Adjournment.

I will communicate with the Deputy in the course of the evening.
