Vol. 150 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Delays in C.I.E. Transport.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there is serious delay in the dispatch of goods, machinery, etc., by C.I.E., and if he will make representations to the board to have the dispatch and delivery of such goods expedited in the interests of the community.

C.I.E. are under a statutory obligation to provide an efficient, economical and convenient system of public transport. I would suggest to the Deputy that any representations he may have to make in regard to delays should be addressed direct to the board.
