Vol. 155 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Cahir Forestry Workers.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that an increase of 8/- a week, retrospective to 1st October last, has been paid to, county council workers in Tipperary, and, if so, if he will consider granting a similar increase to forestry workers employed on the Cahir forestry scheme.

The Deputy may rest assured that any increase in the wages of road workers in Tipperary South Riding will be applied to forestry workers in that area, including Cahir forest. I have not yet had official confirmation of an increase.
