NOTE (1) The grades listed are on pay scales of varying length and the rates given are those payable at 21 years of age (the minimum adult wage) and at the scale maximum. They are basic pay rates, i.e. they exclude variable additions in respect of extra duty, allowances for special work, etc., but are inclusive of cost-of-living additions.
(2) The office classification is as follows:—
Class I—Dublin.
Class II—Blackrock, Bray, Cobh, Cork, Dun Laoghaire, Limerick and Waterford.
Class III—All other offices.
