The average price paid to date to growers for green millable wheat of the 1955 harvest was 68/2 per barrel. This figure is subject to revision.
asked the Taoiseach if he will state the c.i.f. price per barrel of foreign wheat imported in the cereal year 1955-56.
Between 1st September, 1955, and 31st May, 1956, the average c.i.f. price of imported wheat (except seed for sowing) was £3 12s. per barrel and the average c.i.f. price of imported wheat seed for sowing was £4 12s. 9d. per barrel.
