Vol. 159 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Post Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs what is the cause of the delay in erecting a new post office in Galway City, and when it is expected that work will begin.

Work on the scheme for the provision of new Head Post Office buildings in Galway City is at present in progress. The work is of substantial proportions and there was protracted legal difficulty before the contract drawings could be commenced. In the circumstances I can say that there was no avoidable delay in the treatment of the project.
