I am not aware that the numbers of unemployed in Clones at present are such as would warrant the allocation of a special employment schemes grant for the area. In any case, these grants are intended to provide employment during the winter months. A proportionate allocation will be made for Clones in due course as part of the general programme of employment schemes for the coming winter.
