Vol. 162 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Plantations on Dublin Mountains.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it is intended to plant trees on the Dublin mountains in the near future; and whether a survey has been made, and, if so, what it reveals.

It is intended to plant a total of 170 acres in the Dublin mountains next winter.

No recent general survey of the Dublin mountains has been undertaken but my Department is dealing with 11 offers of land totalling 562 acres received from landowners in the district. Two areas totalling 125 acres were recently acquired there.
