Vol. 166 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allocations from Local Loans Fund to North Cork.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will indicate the amount of money that the Northern Committee of the Cork County Council may receive from the Local Loans Fund this year for the execution of water, housing, sewerage and other schemes.

It is assumed that the question relates to the coming financial year.

It has not been the practice to determine in advance the amounts to be made available from the Local Loans Fund to individual local authorities, since allocations on these lines have not been found to be practicable.

Issues from the fund will be made as required during the year in respect of schemes for which loans from the fund have been or will be sanctioned and the amount will depend on the progress made with schemes already approved and on the new schemes which may mature during the year.
