Vol. 167 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Nenagh Drainage Scheme Workers.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider giving an increase in wages to the men employed on the Nenagh drainage scheme.

The rate paid to labourers employed on the Nenagh drainage scheme is a uniform rate paid to labourers employed on arterial drainage schemes throughout the country by the Commissioners of Public Works. The rate is at present under consideration, but I am not in a position to say whether an increase will be granted.
