Vol. 171 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - North Kerry Turbary.

asked the Minister for Lands whether, in view of the urgent need for the allocation of turbary in the North Kerry area, the Land Commission propose to make further allocation there in the near future.

Rights of turbary were provided for some 650 families in North Kerry last year. Efforts to make further allocations of turbary in the district are continuing as speedily as available resources of staff and finance permit. In the meantime, the needs of applicants are being catered for as far as practicable by means of seasonal lettings.
