Vol. 171 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Barriers outside Schools.

75.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will permit county councils to erect barriers outside schools in the interests of road safety.

I am advised that county councils have the necessary legal powers to erect safety barriers outside schools if they so desire. It is for a particular county council to decide, on its own responsibility, whether or not such barriers should be provided in any individual case.
