Vol. 171 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rural Electrification: Limerick Creosoting Plant.

6.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether having regard to the increased financial assistance given to the E.S.B. to continue the rural electrification scheme the board will resume business with the creosoting plant at Limerick, which has been closed down for several months with consequent loss of employment.

I informed the Deputy in reply to a question he asked on 15th April, 1958, that this is a matter relating to the day to day administration of the E.S.B. and, therefore, is one in which I have no function. I have, however, ascertained from the board that there has been no change in the position in the meantime.
