The following statement sets out the particulars requested by the Deputy. 1958 is the latest year in respect of which separate estimates are available for each county of the numbers of permanent male agricultural labourers and the numbers of agricultural tractors. Preliminary estimates of the corresponding numbers in the State as a whole are, however, available for 1959. The particulars regarding numbers of holdings over 15 acres and over 30 acres in 1955, given in the reply of 5 March, 1959, are the latest available. Corresponding figures of the number of holdings over 100 acres are included in the statement.
