asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give details of wages and employment in 1957, 1958 and 1959 in respect of (a) Cork County Council and (b) Dublin County Council in a tabular statement setting out side by side the average numbers employed in each month, and the amount spent in wages on road works.

Information regarding the amount spent in wages on road works is not available. Following are details of (1) numbers of road workers employed in each month in 1957, 1958 and 1959; (2) rates of wages of roadworkers.
