Vol. 186 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Question. Oral Answers. - Garden of Remembrance.

5.

asked the Minister for Finance what progress has been made with the proposed Garden of Remembrance at the Rotunda grounds; and if he is yet in a position to state when the work will be commenced.

A contract for the main part of the scheme has been placed and work is expected to commence very shortly.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary say what will be the nature of the Garden of Remembrance, or has the House been informed already?

Surely that is a separate question.

I gave some particulars on the Estimate last year. It is a rather formidable plan, and I would not venture to go into it now.

I think the Parliamentary Secretary said last year that he was not certain of its nature.

That is a separate question.

I would like to know about it and I shall ask again.
