Written Answers - Value of Clothing Contracts.

35.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (a) the total value of clothing contracts placed through his Department during the year ended 31st March, 1961 and (b) the value of clothing contracts secured by each contractor.

36.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (a) the total value of clothing contracts placed through his Department during the current financial year and (b) the value of clothing contracts secured by each contractor.

It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 35 and 36 together.

(a) The total value of clothing contracts placed by my Department during the year ended 31st March, 1961, and during the current financial year to date was £385,059 and £44,272 respectively.

(b) It would be contrary to established practice to disclose information regarding the value of contracts placed with individual contractors.
