Vol. 192 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Financial Aid for Cork Library Authorities.

92.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that no grants from the Library Council have been paid to the Cork County Council or the Cork County Library Committee for a number of years; when these grants will be paid; and if he will state the reasons for the delay, as the County Library Committee are in urgent need of immediate financial aid.

Regulations enabling the making of grants by An Chomhairle Leabharlanna to local library authorities are being prepared and I hope to be in a position to issue a communication to all local library authorities on the subject before the end of the present month.
