Vol. 193 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exclusions from Shift-Work Regulations.

46.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of exclusion orders from statutory shift work regulations given to new concerns during the past three years.

I assume that the Deputy refers to exclusion regulations made under the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936, extending the hours prescribed in that Act for the employment of women and young persons in industrial work.

The number of such regulations made on the application of new concerns during the past three years was as follows: 1959, 1; 1960, 1; 1961, 7.
