Vol. 193 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Flooding.

8.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that the constant flooding of the Ballyline River, Ballylongford, County Kerry, is causing great hardship to local farmers, and is holding up much valuable land reclamation work in the area; and if he will state, following the recent survey of portion of the river, whether the work required can now be undertaken under the land project.

The results of the survey recently carried out by my Department indicate that it is very unlikely that work on this river could suitably be undertaken under the Land Project.
