asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will take steps to bring the result of the 1953 survey of copper occurrence at Benderg mine, Bolinglanna, Corraun, Achill, County Mayo, to the attention of any firms that may be interested in the mining of copper in this country.

The result of the 1953 examination of the copper occurrence at Benderg mine, Bolinglanna, Corraun, Achill, Co. Mayo, together with the results of earlier surveys of the occurrences, has already been brought to the notice of persons and firms who have made enquiries about the existence of copper deposits in Ireland. In accordance with normal practice, this information will continue to be brought to the attention of any firms that may be interested in prospecting in County Mayo, or that may be interested in the mining of copper in this country generally.
