Vol. 195 No. 13

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as set out in the Order Paper in the following order: Nos. 5, 7 and 6, and in No. 6 Votes 30 to 38 inclusive, and No. 9. It is proposed to give the time remaining after Questions until 5 o'clock to No. 9. Questions will be taken at 3 p.m.

What happens if the Vote for the Department of Education ends before Questions?

We had better start on No. 9.

Does the Vote for the Department of Education have to be reintroduced?

No. It is taken up at the point at which it stopped.

Could the Ceann Comhairle say who reported progress?

Progress was not actually reported but it is inherent under Standing Order 132 the business will be resumed.

Even though the Committee did not have a quorum.

The matter is taken up at the point where it stopped.

Has the Deputy who was speaking the right to continue?

Are we giving any particular time to No. 9?

We have agreed to take it until 5 o'clock. If a decision is desired it will be at 5 o'clock.

I shall refrain from saying anything.

This is the most reasonable and accommodating Government in the world.

The Taoiseach will not get away with that.

Facts are always incontrovertible.

If reasonableness is to be interpreted by the adoption of the Opposition's policy, there is something in what the Taoiseach says.
