Dáil Éireann debate -

Vol. 196 No. 16

Business of Dáil.

May we assume that 30th October will be the date of resumption?

Does the Taoiseach honestly believe that we shall get through the legislation we have to deal with, plus the Estimates, before Christmas?

I should not expect that all the legislation will be through before Christmas. A big Bill like the Companies Bill might be carried over until after Christmas.

The resumption date fixed means a very short autumn session.

That is, of course, contingent on no other event eventuating?

No disturbing event within our control will eventuate.

The Deputy may sleep now. He may rest easy.

I shall have an observation to make on that on the Adjournment Debate.
