Vol. 197 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Trout Farm.

63.

andMr. Coughlan asked the Minister for Lands if an application was received from Rainbow Trout Limited, Caherciveen, County Kerry for a grant for the erection of a trout farm; and, if so, what was the total amount allocated towards the erection of this farm.

No such application was made to my Department. I understand that an application for a grant is being dealt with by An Foras Tionscal. Perhaps I should add that grants payable by my Department for pond fish culture are for production of rainbow trout on a small scale and do not exceed £80 for the usual five pond unit.

The remaining Questions for oral answer will appear on to-morrow's Order Paper.
