Vol. 201 No. 3

Order of Business.

Business, as set out on the Order Paper, will be taken as follows: Nos. 13, Vote 43, 4, 5, 1, 6, and 14. It is proposed to interrupt business at 5 p.m. to take Nos. 6 and 14 and to resume the order at 7 p.m. I understand there is agreement that the business, as ordered, shall be completed today. I suggest that might be made an Order of the Dáil and that the Minister for Agriculture might perhaps be called upon to intervene to conclude the debate on the Supplementary Estimate for Agriculture at 9.30 p.m.

That would be agreeable to us.

Has any date been fixed for the introduction of the Budget?

What programme of business is contemplated for tomorrow and Thursday? Is the Taoiseach yet in a position to indicate the date on which the Dáil will reassemble after Easter?

I think the adjournment will be just for the two weeks of Holy Week and Easter Week and that we shall resume on the Tuesday after Easter Week. I could, perhaps, give the Dáil an indication tomorrow of the business contemplated before Easter— apart from Estimates: we shall be getting on to the Estimates debates.

What business is proposed for tomorrow and Thursday?

I shall be able to tell that to the House tomorrow.

On what date is it expected we shall reassemble after Easter?

The Deputy can assume that we shall not meet during Holy Week and Easter Week.

Can the Taoiseach say when he will be able to announce the date when the Budget will be taken?

Before the Adjournment for Easter, I hope.

Not any earlier?
